It is impossible to pull yourself away from their powerful radiance. And of course from their sound. (...) This mix of superb singing, entertainment and a whole charm of their own, makes Wishful Singing an exceptional vision: the female a-cappella-groups at this level can be counted on one hand, in Europe anyway.
Hamburger Abendblatt, 22 March 2012

“Wishful Singing have that incredibly rare ability to move one to tears with the sheer beauty and pureness of their beautiful voices and at the very next moment leave one on the floor in a helpless pile of laughter.”
Stephen Connolly, King’s Singers

Wishful Singing is a top international female a cappella group and also the most well-known a cappella quintet in the Netherlands. The ensemble managed to take the time out of their busy schedule between tours in Japan and Spain just for one concert in Estonia, and namely for their concert at Kuressaare Chamber Music Days. The quintet has won various national and international prizes, including the 1st Prize at Dutch Vocal Ensemble Festival (2009), they received the highest score out of all participating ensembles in Tolosa Choral Contest in Spain (2009), and were awarded the Audience Award at the International A Cappella Festival in Germany (2010), etc.
In 2010, they released their debut album “New Blue” on the Dutch Record Company label.
The programme called “Cheat, play, love” to be performed at the festival is interesting and extensive, incorporating love songs from different eras and by different composers from renaissance to contemporary times.
